MAR MORTO

The Mar Morto (Dead Sea) is the wildest Argentario cove. Its name derives from the presence of a natural barrier of reefs forming natural pools where the water is always calm. The sea floor is one of the most beautiful of Argentario because rich in fish. 

How to get there: when you reach the end of the municipal road in Località La Maddalena, go on the left in a narrower road and characterized by dangerous bends. After about 4.3 km pick up on the right a footpath crossing a stretch of low scrub up to the sea.

Winds: exposure to southerly winds.

Parking: on the municipal road in Località La Maddalena.

Notes: on site there is a spring of slightly sulphurous water.
